Privacy: Lyte Fiber uses a variety of network tools for operational purposes; to monitor and ensure network health, stability, and functionality; and to protect our network against threats. Lyte Fiber stores the information it gathers through this monitoring for only as long as we have a business purpose to maintain it. As part of providing the Service, Lyte Fiber also possesses certain information about our users, which it shares as needed to meet its business goals and/or fulfill its legal obligations. The Lyte Fiber Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information.

Lyte Fiber may suspend or restrict the Service at any time without notice, including but not limited to instances in which a user has violated the Lyte Fiber Terms of Service or its Acceptable Use Policy. Lyte Fiber’s security practices are detailed further below.

Performance Characteristics

Service Description: Lyte Fiber offers different internet access packages with speeds varying from up to 300 Mbps to up to 2.5 Gbps. The Service primarily utilizes fiber technology that uses a passive-network design, utilizing hair-thin strands of fiber-optic glass, wrapped in super-sturdy conduit that is buried underground. Service speeds can be expected to range from speeds of up to 300 Mbps to speeds of up to 2.5 Gbps depending on your plan. These speeds are generally sufficient to allow users to utilize the most commonly accessed internet content and services.

Impact of Non-Broadband Internet Access Services: Lyte Fiber does not offer non-broadband internet access service data service to end-users.

Latency: In addition to speed, a user’s experience is affected by the degree of latency in the network, where “latency” refers to the amount of time it takes for information to travel from its source to its destination. Users can expect latency values between 5ms and 25ms to the Lyte Fiber speed-test servers. Users’ experiences should not be affected by these latency levels. During periods of high network usage, the Service’s latency may increase, possibly reaching the point at which a user would notice the delay.

Network Management Practices

Network and Congestion Management: Lyte Fiber may employ various forms of reasonable network management with respect to the Service. Traffic is subject to congestion management during periods of peak usage to ensure that all users of the Service receive reasonable access to the Service. Lyte Fiber uses industry-standard measures to determine when to apply its network and congestion management practices. These practices could limit access to services and applications during periods of peak usage. Our high-capacity fiber network only occasionally experiences significant congestion. Lyte Fiber does not apply any network or congestion management practices on the basis of lawful content, application, service, or user. Lyte Fiber reserves the right to fulfill its legal obligations with regard to unlawful traffic.

Application Specific Behavior: Lyte Fiber reserves the right to protect its network and customers from threats that would undermine normal operations by preventing access to or rate-limiting traffic delivered using specific protocols, specific ports, domain names, or IP addresses that are associated with malicious activity. Lyte Fiber does not limit, restrict access to, or rate-control specific protocols or protocol ports for any reason other than security.

Impact of Data Plans: Lyte Fiber does not employ usage-based pricing.

Security: Lyte Fiber uses industry-standard security practices to manage our network. We reserve the right at any time to take action to protect the integrity and normal operation of our networks and to safeguard our users from internet threats, including fraud and other forms of abuse. Lyte Fiber reserves the right to terminate a user’s access in the event the user violates the Lyte Fiber Terms and Conditions and/or Acceptable Use Policy.

Device Attachment Rules: Lyte Fiber does not restrict the connection of any lawful devices to its network; for lawful devices, no pre-approval procedures are necessary.
